JOHN DAIZA, PRESIDENT AND CEO AND MANAGING MEMBER

John Daiza has provided leadership within the energy and power industry for over 30 years (specifically within the Utilities, IPP's, EPC/D&B and O&M Sectors encompassing conventional and renewable IP technology platforms, etc.). He has been a senior level executive affiliated with such distinguished firms as General Electric, Ahlstrom, BP Power, Consumers Energy, Parsons Corp., and Mosbacher Power Group (MPG). Mr. Daiza has developed, financed, built, owned and managed the operation of over 20 utility-grade power plants (of 200 MW or larger in size/scope) within the US and on a worldwide basis. He has spearheaded and negotiated several large M&A's including two major multi-billion dollar mergers including the merger between MPG and Tampa Electric Power Services (in 1999) and Ahlstrom's merger with Foster Wheeler (in 1994). Mr. Daiza was also a managing partner of International Power Partners and the CEO of Optimum Energy, two very successful IPP startup firms (in the mid-1990's and mid-2000's, respectively) within the space of development, construction, ownership and operation of conventional and renewable power applications and cutting-edge smart grid IP technology for the T&D Network and related infrastructure throughout the world. GARY BAILEY, EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN AND MANAGER MEMBER

Gary Bailey, AIA, has been part of the solar industry for over forty years. He has been responsible for the design and implementation of many creative renewable programs, including participating in the change of an entire industry. He is a partner in Solargenix Energy, a solar thermal company which has designed and built over 500 MW in the United States and Europe; and Executive Chairman of Global Impact Energy, a biomass power plant developer. In 1985, he was selected by the US Department of Energy to develop its first Solar PV Program referred to as the “DOE PV Bonus Program”. From 1999 to 2004, Gary, while at SGE worked with NREL and Sandia Laboratories to develop a new parabolic trough concentrator design. Among his many projects, he has on his pocket a 1 MW CSP plant in Saguaro, AZ, a 64 MW Nevada Solar Plant in Boulder City, NV. Gary Bailey has a bachelor in architecture from NC State University, and is a current member of the American Institute of Architects.

BRIAN BAEWON KOH, DIRECTOR OF DESIGN AND A/E

Brian Koh began his professional career in 1993 and has substantial experience in institutional, industrial and commercial renewable energy projects. He currently directs the design and architectural projects for Global Impact Energy, LLC (GIE) and GIE's affiliated company, Innovative Design, Inc. (IDI). He has designed and managed several green building and solar based projects in the US and globally. Brian has spoken at numerous conferences teaching green building design and efficient energy & water management issues. Mr. Koh is an expert in LEED and a LEED Faculty of U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). He was the Chair of the North Carolina Triangle Chapter of USGBC in 2010 and has been serving as a director of the board for the chapter since 2006. He was a representative of the chapter to the Southeast Regional Council of USGBC. He contributed to the Regional Priority Task Force for LEED 2009 and LEED 2012 Council. He is also a member of American Solar Energy Society and North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association. Mr. Koh holds a Master of Architecture degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York, and a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree from Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea.

CHRIS CHUN, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Mr. Chris Chun has over 30 year of experience in the power industry, including with the US Navy. He was Chief Engineer of several power plants for the US Navy utilizing a wide-variety of fuel types, cycles and configurations. He has managed and operated numerous power plants and cogeneration facilities. Has control room expertise as well as highly proficient in O&M management of power plants, including power trains, BOP and distributed generation. Certified as a Boiler/Gas Turbine Operator. He has conducted training in power plant design, engineering, installation, start-up, testing and normal and emergency operating procedures (including EOP’s, SOP’s and EOSS’s). He has successfully project managed multi-million dollar projects for the US Navy. He has expertise in Operations Research and Strategic Planning and Intelligence. He has performed financial modeling and conducted sensitivity analysis for a wide variety of power stations throughout the world. He studied at California State University and the US Naval Academy and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Management Sciences and also has an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
